A Chardonnay that is both refined and elegant, the result of the almost maniacal care Giorgio devotes to each of his seven hectares of vineyard. On the other hand, the production of the Anselmet winery, a production reality located not far from Aosta, is characterized by the extreme attention paid to each stage of the supply chain, from vineyard operations to bottling. Therefore, one should not be surprised by this white, clean, precise and well delineated in each of its organoleptic components, where the Chardonnay manifests itself with a dazzling profile, enhancing the traits of the terroir of origin, where the cultivation of the vine requires great efforts.
Anselmet makes this Valle d'Aosta DOC from the grapes, used in purity, of one of the best-known international white grape varieties, Chardonnay. The vines, whose age is around 25 years, take root in soils of morainic origin, characterized by the strong presence of sand, located about 800-900 meters above sea level. Once they reach the winemaking facilities, the clusters ferment alcoholically in steel for 10-15 days, then mature, again in steel, for several months.
Anselmet's signature Chardonnay manifests itself to the eye with a straw-yellow color, very bright and brilliant. The bouquet of aromas that envelops the nose is organized around elegant subtle notes, in which floral and fruity sensations are traced. On the palate it is light-bodied, flowing, streamlined and drinkable, thanks to a perfectly balanced sip that is also distinguished by a pleasant freshness. A strongly identifiable white, from which emerges the great ability of Giorgio, owner of the winery, to let the Aostan terroir shine through. Ideal to taste as an accompaniment to seafood cuisine.
