'LEUKO' 'A VITA DESCRIPTION

The 'Leuko' from 'A Vita is a forthright and intense white wine with a sunny, intense and typically Mediterranean face. Its rich and fresh aromas, its pleasantly fruity and marine sip, make it a wine that directly reflects its artisanal nature and its vital expressive immediacy.

The 'Leuko' white wine is the child of a production philosophy linked to respect for nature and the environment and the enhancement of the territory. The 'A Vita winery is located in the Cirò area, in a splendid area between the Ionian coast and the foothills of Sila. The estate covers a total of 8 hectares, 4 of which are dedicated to viticulture. In the countryside, the rules of organic farming are followed, without using any chemicals, so as to preserve the vitality of the soil and favour biodiversity. The same vision permeates the work in the cellar, where efforts are made to favour the natural transformation of musts into wine with minimal intervention and using only indigenous yeasts.

The 'Leuko' wine from the Calabrian winery 'A Vita is a white wine of good structure and aromatic intensity, which captivates with its distinct personality, far from the common standards. It is vinified as a white wine in steel tanks, using only indigenous yeasts, where the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place. In the goblet it is antique gold in colour, brilliant and luminous. The nose is reminiscent of aromas of wild herbs from the Mediterranean maquis, aromas of citrus fruits, white-fleshed fruit and hints of iodine. The sip is long, aromatically intense and juicy. The finish expresses a pleasant freshness, characterised by savoury marine notes.
