The Giba winery was established in 2002 with the name of 6Mura, following the bet of five childhood friends, originating in Giba, all united by the same passion for Carignano. Corlo Locci, Vincenzo Aru, Flavio Piras, Guido and Stefano Lampis are the five members of the team that has created this beautiful Sardinian reality, that now, under the control of Giovanni Irde, represents a firm point of reference for the Carignano del Sulcis.

From the 10 hectares of owned vineyards, which extend over the territories of clay and limestone in the Giba area called Se Murasa, the company name has its origin. The other 20 acres are rented and extend mainly in suitable areas for Carignano: Portopino, Calasetta and San Giovanni Suergiu. In these lands there is of course mainly the red grape and, in the sapling vineyards of Portopino and Calasetta, on sand and free of foot, reaches in some cases a hundred years of age.

What has always characterized corporate style of Giba - 6Mura winery is the desire to produce a traditional Carignano, without the use of too much wood and avoiding the barrique. The snug fit of the characteristics of the area has meant that 6Mura is the possible expression of the interaction between soil and vine. In this way, the winery was able to give life to a wine with strong territorial, away from the international taste and standardized, but, on the contrary, typical example of Sulcis, which preserves all the aromas and fragrances.
