Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron is a small family business in Burgundy located in Premeaux, a few kilometres south of the famous town of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The estate is managed by Sophie Confuron and Alain Meunier, who, with passion and careful craftsmanship, look after the 8 hectares of vineyards, producing wines of excellent quality, representing very well a terroir of absolute excellence. The Domaine is made up of a series of small plots, each with its own soil and microclimate characteristics. The greatest attention is paid to the countryside, with the awareness that any good wine can only come from vines cultivated in harmony with the surrounding environment.

Between the rows, the principles of organic farming and biodynamic practices are applied, without using herbicides or chemical treatments, so as to keep the environment intact and uncontaminated, with the utmost respect for nature. In order to preserve the maximum vitality of the soils, some plots are only worked using the horse, so as not to compact the soil and to leave it always soft and well aerated. The vineyard management, inspired by the principles of eco-sustainability, also favours the presence of a rich biodiversity, which is an enormous asset for the vineyard and the environment as a whole. Thanks to all these attentions, the vines have found their natural balance, with a greater capacity to resist pathogen attacks.

The mild, breezy climate and the soils composed of calcareous clay marl have always been the perfect habitat for the two grape varieties that are the undisputed protagonists of the Côte d'Or region: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The careful management of the vineyards allows us to arrive at harvest time with perfectly ripe, healthy and genuine grapes. Vinification is carried out in a very simple way, using minimally invasive oenological practices, without additives and with very low percentages of sulphur dioxide. The range of wines includes very interesting labels, especially the reds, with bottles originating in the fine terroirs of: Chambolle-Musigny, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru, Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Les Beaumonts, Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru, Nuits-Saint-Goerges Premier Cru Aux Boudots and Nuits-Saint-Goerges Les Fleurières.
