  • 1 Gin Jinzu
  • 1 Gin 'Juniper' Fair Spirits - 50cl
  • 1 Gin Panarea
The engaging success of the Gin through three expressions that interpret personal and innovative art the art of infusion of what constitutes the soul of each label, as well as the secret recipe of each distillery: the 'botanicals'. "Juniper" has a particular origin, Fair Spirits indeed. In the Vodka, from the same distillery, the different botanical elements are placed to bitter: the juniper berries of Uzbekistan, followed by cardamom, coriander, angelica roots and others. The characteristic is that all the ingredients come from sustainable trade activities and offer a delicate, soft and harmonious, smooth and clean 'spirit'. Gin Panarea is a tribute to the Aeolian Islands of the Inga family, intense and with spicy outfits from the Mediterranean references, obtained by adding citrus peel to a base of juniper and myrtle. With its Oriental features, Gin Jinzu is obtained from typically Japanese botanicals such as cherry blossoms, yuzu and sake, also used as a base to infuse part of the botanical components. A fragrant and floral drink emerges from an elegant and delicate structure, which enclose all the charm of the Levant.

  • 1 Passito di Caluso 'Sulé' Orsolani 2012
Wines of personalities that belong to a great tradition, often underestimated, of national enology. Sweet expressions fruit of aromatic grapes, which are more suited for this type. The different techniques for making an excellent raisin wine are linked to the history and traditions of some important areas that have become real symbols. The result of a noble history, the Tuscan Vin Santo of this tasting belongs to one of the most iconic categories of sweet wines. The drying of the grapes takes place on traditional racks and gives, after 3 years of stopping in sealed caratelli, a rich fluid, with aromas of raisins, chestnut honey, dried fruit and flavors of aromatic herbs. A similar technique is adopted on the island of Pantelleria, where one of its protagonists, fruit of dried grapes under the sun, reveals the Mediterranean freshness and an explosion of taste on the palate with references to candied and toasted fruit. The journey between the interpretations of the South ends in Trani, where the Moscato becomes unique through an exuberant wine on the nose and pleasantly dense at the sip. Another technique of drying is told by Picolit, the result of overgrazing due to the action of Botrytis, the noble rot which amplifies a mineral, dynamic, enveloping and fragrant liquid. Bright and with spicy details is the other protagonist in red of the path; an interpreter of the plantation of Moscato Rosa in plan, which shows a soft and smooth tannic texture, with a great sinuous sip. The Erbaluce takes a persuasive and elegant look thanks to the raisin wine symbol of the area: a great awarded wine with an excellent persistence!

This is the manifesto of one of the reference Associations in the international wine scene with a focus on sustainability and the most sincere attention to the environment. The goal is to arrive at a zero pesticide in the vineyard and the most innovative work organization possible to achieve the highest natural balance of the soil, using less invasive practices and methodologies in the agronomic field, in the processing phases in the cellar and in view of the conservation of the wine itself, safeguarding its wholesomeness and goodness. Excellent sparkling wine from the cellar obtained from the marvelous amphitheater located in the south of Franciacorta, on the slopes of Monte Orfano. Assembling of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, it owes its birth to the chef de cave of the winery, Luigi Bersini, who saw an old vineyard in the nearby wood, a lost heritage that was later found, from which the fruits of the cuvée are now obtained. The entrance to this Cru occurs with the assembly of the two blends which are then fermented in the bottle, where it is then refined on the yeasts for more than 36 months. The vintages are produced only in the greatest years and continue with prolonged aging, always in glass; for the 'Reserve' the wine matures for 70 months on the yeasts, followed by a further 10 months. The secrets of this oenological symbol are primarily due to the Franciacorta terroir of Monte, composed of a calcareous agglomerate, ideal for quality wines; to the unique microclimate of this small area, where rainfall is reduced compared to the neighboring areas; the choices of the winery in the process of plant breeding, harvest and in the art of blending; the liquer de expedition, a secret recipe used to replenish wine during disgorgement. A masterpiece of longevity, able to fear no comparisons and to reveal elegance, complexity and great envelopment.

From the Slow Wine world six protagonists awarded for theri organoleptic quality, reaching an 'excellent' standard; a driver translatable in adherence to the territory of origin, to its history handed down from generation to generation and in the environment in its widest sense. In particular, from this point the most attention is paid to the works adopted in the vineyard, where the use of chemical weeding among the rows should not be adopted. A point of satisfaction that the Guide has emphasized from the last editions. The last criterion, not secondary, that convinced is the relationship of origin and the quality / price ratio that are able to satisfy. A Nebbiolo in purity is the soul of a Valtellina Superiore in which refined olfactory scents are framed and a fine tannin recalls the plot. Citrus fruits and tropical sensations animate an iconic white from Sicily, strengthened in personality by a brief maceration and a passage in wood. Refined and elegant, the Customs of the selection adds a spicy note to the group. Personality and expressiveness are not lacking in simple Pecorino and Bardolino here, pleasant balance and intriguing harmonic sensations. A Maremma fresco is offered by Morellino di Scansano, which here is ruby and promotes floral sensations and fragrant small red fruits followed by an impeccable sip and excellent cleaning!

From the holistic view of theories born from the Austrian philosopher Rudolf Steiner, then followed and expanded by his followers, a different approach to agriculture is born. Following the lunar cycles and balancing the forces of the mineral world with that of plants and animals, those who decide to pursue this type of agriculture devote themselves to a search for closeness to the environment and the safeguarding of health as virtuous as possible, increasing biodiversity through use of specific preparations and practices and seeking the most sincere spontaneity of the rural origin of the place. These six interpreters have marked and marked in their own way the importance of a vision that is now increasingly widespread and sought after. Distinguished names, such as Tenuta di Valgiano, one of the first wineries to experiment biodynamic in Italy, Fattoria San Lorenzo and Corte Sant'Alda, cellars animated by the work of people of undoubted strength and character, which gave a significant contribution to this type of agriculture. Or those who recently decided to share these prescriptions in a total manner, like Chateau Jean Faux, without losing identity and style; who tells of a centenary story made up of struggles and conquests, like Weingut Weninger and who has returned to country life by following the dictates to inaugurate a history of undoubted prestige such as that of Fonterenza.

  • 1 Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico Brut 'Gianfranco Giorgi' Giorgi 2015
Peculiar interpretations that tell the liveliness of some regions of Italy, in which the tradition of sparkling wine has become an important component of the territorial fabric of the various areas. From the North of the Nation comes one of the most iconic Trento Spumante of the category for versatility and liveliness. From the Oltrepò Pavese a Pinot Noir that opens on citrus notes to then take on involving mineral connotations. Dynamic tension and great freshness belong to the Franciacorta selected here, a champion fruit of a 50-month refinement on the lees in which it refines complexity and energy. In addition to these three pillars, in which the art of making sparkling wine has reached high levels, great personality interpretations emerge from other areas, such as the following three protagonists of this journey within the next Italian Classic Method. Alta Langa is an interpretation of the hilly side to the right of the Tanaro, from which emerge elegant bubbles resulting from a long refinement in the bottle and a complexity of fine workmanship. From the peaks of the Etna comes a territorial rosé expression, with a crackling creaminess and the finest hints of fruits of the undergrowth, while from the heart of Irpinia comes a sparkling wine with a sapid identity and a fragrant and intense character.

  • 1 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 'Castello di Brolio' Barone Ricasoli 2015
Among the most appreciated Italian reds, Chianti is, in particular, the symbol of Tuscany. An appreciated denomination that embraces more territories up to those historically linked to its production, in the provinces of Florence and Siena, which can boast the mention of 'Classico'. Different types, different stories that reveal all the expressiveness of the main grape of the region, the Sangiovese, which, according to its origin, can be vinified in purity or can blend to other vines to reveal unique and always different interpretations. Expressive vivacity and character roundness are given by the convivial 'Al Canapo'. A representative from the Sienese Hills is the 'Caspagnolo', a very balanced red wine with a pleasant overall fruity sensation and delicate undergrowth. From the world of the 'Gallo Nero', the famous icon that identifies the Chianti Classico, come the rest of the protagonists of the tasting. Two expressions of great personality are those of Fattoria di Lamole and Poggerino, two wineries that have an organic and careful vision in the vineyard and in the cellar. Depth and minerality, intensity and character describe these two fascinating reds. Riserva 'Il Grigio' is a label of greater stature and the result of a longer aging in the cellar. It comes from a selection of the best fruits that depict a dense tannic texture and a great taste harmony. Iconic and celebratory of the precursor of the category, Bettino Ricasoli, or one who has canonized the characteristics, the Gran Selezione 'Castello di Brolio' is a bottle of impact, persistent and impeccable elegance, which tells another extraordinary chapter in the wine history of this cellar!

  • 1 Malvasia di Bosa Riserva Columbu 2013 - 50cl
  • 1 'Cuvée d'Automne' Domaine de la Pinte
Expressions with a unique character that belong to a niche of the enological world. Personality interpretations out of the ordinary result of an oxidative style that sees the permanence of the wine in contact with a particular layer of yeasts that is defined as 'flor', a characteristic protective layer that is formed during the refinement phase in casks and that gives fascinating and complex shades, supported by a characteristic oxidative note. As a representative of the Jura, the region where the wines characterized by this particular process are most deeply rooted, the 'Cuvée d'Automne' reveals a silky and slightly oxidized sip, embellished with a complex aromatic citrus and candied fruit interspersed with mineral puffs. After 24 months in chestnut barrels under flor, the Malvasia di Bosa Riserva of the tasting offers elegant and intense tertiary aromas, which open to a soft and persistent sip. Mediterranean and salty notes come together in a great olfactory harmony whispered by Vernaccia di Oristano, which after 5 years of wise refinement under flor, is completed with wide and faceted nuances, followed by warm and sapid sensations on the palate. A unique thought to be paired with dishes based on blue or aged cheeses or challenge the curious taster with seasoned fish dishes or medium smoking.

An encounter with the most hidden side of Piedmont. Autochthonous vines rediscovered and belonging to the tradition that have been re-evaluated and studied or regretted to bring to light a forgotten history. An operation to safeguard biodiversity that involved all the main areas of the Region and involved passionate figures. Nibiö, a distant relative of Dolcetto, has begun to return to the scene of the Alexandrino, intriguing for his personality translating into an almost tactile sip and a subtle and intriguing olfactory profile. In the same area, Timorasso, the mineral soul that risked extinction, has become a protagonist and that the histrionic Walter Massa has been able to re-launch at high levels, also involving other producers. The 'Carica l'Asino' is an exciting white grape with a fresh decision and with fragrant notes of aromatic herbs. The Albarossa is an autochthonous that unites the different souls of the Region. It is in fact a cross between Barbera and Nebbiolo that reveals elegant and austere features, not disdaining an excellent capacity for aging. The symbol of Verduno is undoubtedly the Pelaverga, a vine with an intriguing spicy texture and excellent conviviality. From the North of Piedmont comes the Vespolina, a mineral red with a grassy footprint, able to take on complex garments over time, bearing the test of time with class!

Three iconic arrows among the artisanal white wines, able to excite for personality and class, which have upset and revolutionized the national scene and tell the story of three class members of the vineyard. With its unique style and majestic importance, Gravner's Ribolla Gialla is one of Collio's monuments, Josko's signature that has now linked the ancestral wine-making jar, the amphora, to the fame of his master. Material and engaging, it expresses baolsamic sensations, of apricot and withered flowers and reveals a long gustatory progression that spreads over time. Emidio Pepe and Stefano Bellotti are the other two fathers of Biodynamic in Italy, the first to experiment with its effects and follow its dictates, succeeding in producing symbolic expressions, such as the 'Filagnotti' and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, two luminous fluids, able to challenge time and displace tasting, involving vigor, salinity and freshness.
